Using the Mouse

Here are some of the basic functions of a two-button mouse.

Pointing: move mouse pointer until it rests on the item of choice on the desktop. The pointer usually looks like an arrow.

Clicking: press and release the left mouse button

Double-clicking: quickly press and release the left mouse button twice without moving the mouse

Dragging: point to an item, hold down the left mouse button, move the item to the desired location the screen and then release the left mouse button

Right-click: press and release the right mouse button

Note: Some mice may have a wheel that can be used for scrolling or other special operations defined by the software.

Practice doing each of the above functions.
